About HCl: Dr. Clark says in here "Cure for Advanced Cancers" book that if we could find a way to naturally increase our stomachs' HCl production, that that would be the closest thing to the fountain of youth.
I think she says this because, as I understand her position, the strong stomach HCl would kill off all kinds of parasites, bacteria, etc. before they could get into our bodies and do damage. Her view is that all of our common chronic diseases ultimately stem from these (parasites) as well as from pollutions. She even is now recommending (for cancer patients) using food- grade HCl drops in a 5% concentraction (which you can buy at http://www.drclark.net/ for about $5/ounce) to mix with foods before eating. She warns to only take it with food and to mix it carefully because it has the potential to dissolve tooth enamel. I have been able to enjoy milk and milk products by sterilizing with the drops---very convenient.
