CS doesn't stain right away. It oxidizes, which changes it's color in the
spilled-on spot from clear to grey-brown, the color of tarnish. My white
countertop has been the ultimate viewing area for these changes & I have
found that no matter how quickly I wipe up a spill, it will ALWAYS stain,
usually showing up 2 days later.

Does anyone know if CS is supposed to stain in
this way? I just dropped some of my CS onto a
piece of untreated wood, left it for a minute or
two, and wiped it off. There was no stain. I'm
having a crisis of confidence in the quality of my
CS.
Kind Regards
Carol
