marshall, no smallpox isn't gone... I read an article about it and polio the other day.. don't remember where, I read so much. but they were talking about giving booster shots to kids - kids my age - which is what threw me the most red flag... another battle to fight; if people start coming down with it again. most states do accept the religious exemption on vaccines, BUT if an epidemic (and you have to remember that will be their definition - not ours) arises - they can and will either take my kid or he gets a shot.
