Suzy,

The Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) that some dairy farmers use is synthetic. It's
produced by a genetically engineered bacteria (e-colli I think). It is NOT the
same thing that the cow produces naturally and is found in colostrum. Their are
several hormone co-factors associated with the growth factor in bovine
colostrum. rBGH is a synthetic form of just one of them. If you consume
genectically engineered products/pseudo-foods, you are playing with fire as
well as supporting those companies (like Monsanto) which produce them. They do
not have the wisdom and foresight to play with the genetic blueprints of
Nature. Their motivation is money and control of the world's food supply .

Hi Karl, if a farmer does not live close, where would you obtain lGF-1? Know
a form of GH is available at CellFood Concentrado

  Thanks. suzy

    Hello!

Colostrum needs to be processed at a low temperature, like many
nutrients. Cooking/boiling would probably destroy most of the growth
hormone and beneficial growth factors. Powdered colostrum is processed
at a low temperature to preserve these compounds. (Make certain that
colostrum you buy is low temperature processed, or that they quote the
amount of IGF-1 (GF- growth factor) that is left in it. Normal amount is
15%, without it being particuarly concentrated.)

If you know a farmer, though, if you can get fresh liquid colostrum, you
can freeze it, and most of the beneficial nutrients will survive.

    Hope this helps a little.
