Forgive me for stepping in here, but I would like to divert things a bit before we get an argument going...
Firstly, we are not going to be able to answer the question of whether "chemtrails" are real or not on this forum. There is not enough solid information available to any of us, and far too much hype and disinformation flooding the alternative media. Secondly, the topic of "chemtrails" *does* relate to colloidal silver in so much as it *is* a concern of folks who are interested in their health and also in preparedness and self-reliance. Whether it's real or not, the *concern* is present and needs to be addressed. So I ask those who believe chemtrails are real, and those who do not, to let the "other side" alone in their beliefs and not try to convert each other or the lurkers who are watching. Everybody is big enough to make these decisions for themselves and don't need to be protected. Basically, let's not make chemtrails a controversy here, but let's allow it the coverage it deserves for those who are concerned. Of course, anything more than that *would* be a welcome topic at: [email protected] For subscription information see: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/silver-off-topic-list A few further comments: Ken wrote: > I've made it abundently clear that I've found absolutely no > evidence that there IS any sort of wide spread spraying going on. I > HAVE seen many misleading photographs on websites I have had contacts with a few people who, as far as I know, are not connected to the "chemtrail conspiracy industry" in any way and describe some pretty bizarre aerial spraying operations having taken place in the past -- things that are not explained by normal contrail formation. That said, I bet that 90% or more of recent "chemtrail" reports are normal activity being misinterpreted by people who are concerned by what they hear but don't have sufficient experience to recognise what they're seeing as being normal. In other words the campaign of disinformation and hysteria is working. That there are charlatans trying to cash in and further muddy the waters is not at all surprising. Taken together, this is why I see outright dismissal of "chemtrails" to be very much like -- well, dismissing CS because of the ignorance, fraud, hucksterism, and fanatical debunking that defaces a significant portion of the field. > ... the characteristics of condensing vapor was present where there > was an invisible phase just after the supposed nozzles. That's obviously analogous to what you're describing and counters pictures of "spraying" that show contrails deriving from parts of the airframe other than the engines. Of course, the latest theories suggest fuel additives are being used now... And, yes, there are good arguments against *that* too. > My conclusion is that, even if the spraying is happening, the > evidence that's presented to convince you of it is so full of huge > holes that it does not hold even a drop of water. It's obviously to the point that nobody is going to be able to identify what's real anymore. If any of it is genuine, the folks who want to cover it up are assured of success because so much BS is muddying the waters. > People, you are being LED to believe something. The mere distractive technique of > relabeling a pyramid clearly suggests a con. Lastly, please don't go overboard condemning the basic idea of MLM. Plenty of folks here have been a part of such things. We don't do marketing on the silver list, but there's no need to be mean to everybody who ever sold a box of soap over the back fence or bought vitamins from a friend. We can't solve the world's problems here, so let's stick to what we *can* do for each other, please.
