Hello List, I am using Dr. Jon's CS making equipment, i.e., 6V 300 Ma power source, a fish tank bubbler with a bubble stone and two .9999 silver coins. I usually run a one-gallon batch for about five hours. The distilled water remains clear but one coin gets quite dirty. The water has no noticeable taste. Using my Hanna TDS -1 meter, the reading is usually 1 before starting the brew and 2-3 after the brewing.
I have a laser pen. Is there any way to read the Tyndall effect (which is definitely present at the end of the brewing) to determine whether there is sufficient CS to do any good?
