We are all connected to each other at some level but sometimes we are not all that connected to ourselves..in much the same way.
If I were to take a different point of view it would be much like someone else seeing.
Of course they would see things differently. It would be insane for me to expect someone seeing from a different point of view to see things the same way as I, when even I wouldn't.
Anger starts where compassion ends. Its expression comes when communication devolves into defensive power plays. Attack and defense are the same motion seen from different sides...the attack being a preemptive defense.

It does no good to deny ones own feelings. They hang around misunderstood and in need of constant control. But one cannot control what one denies existance. It does help to know what feelings are.
No one can "make" you feel anything. Feelings are something that "I" DO..a projection of my desires and expectations... for whatever purpose I have in mind.

Manipulation is not "bad" [or "good"] It can be useful but it can also certainly backfire. [and , of course, you get the blame.]

From the book of new old sayings..
"Doesn't it make perfect sense for me to be afraid of you when you do the exact same thing I would do to make you afraid of me?" [plug in the appropriate emotion]
" Not being validated does not make one an invalid. Anything can proceed without external approval. It CAN make one a victim of their own expectations though"

It ain't what you do but how you feel about what you do.

Some people really enjoy being mean. Some just hate being nice.

Ken

Ken: If you believe that somehow we're all connected then, "how you feel
about what you do" will be influenced by how OTHERS feel about what you do.
So being nice to other people just may be in ones own self interest. Roger
