Reid I stand corrected on the limitations of the tds 1 meter by Hanna
Inst.. I contacted Hanna and they shy away from giving data on using
their meters for C.S. production,as they are basically a water testing
company.. They recommended I contact the link below for the Hanna PWT
meter and I did and ordered it from them with the test solution.. Cost
including delivery with the solution was American Dollars in USA ---$65.
00 + or - a few cents. Your cost overseas will be different. This is
basically th same meter except with the added current application and
closer parameters of the ppm per finished product.. Hope this helps

You're doing a disservice recommending the hanna TDS 1 for measuring
CS PPM. It reads from 0-999 with + - 2% accuracy of full scale, which is
+ - 20 at any reading. As you can see it can be off much more than the
reading of 5 to 15 PPM you are trying to measure. It is also a Total
Dissolved Solids meter rather than a meter that will measure the
conductivity of the CS. This is a useless meter for measuring PPM's.

What is much better is the Hanna PWT meter. It reads from 0 - 99.9 with
2%
accuracy so you can see it will be off no more than 2 parts at any
reading.
It is also a conductivity meter which is just right for measuring the
ionic
portion of the CS. By applying a correction factor, this meter is a very
good tool for the average person to have for determining PPM in colloidal
silver. Please see our page regarding this meter for specs and more
info.
