I would caution you not to feed any animal any product, including kibble,
that contains bone meal. BSE is apparently in the food chain in the U.S.,
even though the government is being quiet about it, and several dog food
manufacturers have reconfigured their plants because of the danger. I don't
know if it's true, but I heard back when FMD hit England in February that
Purina had produced dog food that tested positive for BSE or Mad Cow
Disease. I also heard--don't know if this is true either--that BSE was
caused by the use of pour-on insecticides on cattle, which caused molecular
changes, and that the company producing the insecticides had been involved
in covering up the truth. Quite a few British scientists died under
mysterious circumstances hours before they were to hold press conferences to
publicize their scientific findings.
