If anyone on this list has eaten the Indian sweet, barfi, it is wrapped in
an edible paper-like substance that is made of silver. Does anyone know
about this? I assume it doesn't cause your face to turn blue (though maybe
that's why Krishna was blue-skinned) as I never saw a blue person in
India...
The metric system is (and has been) used the world over. The only reason
we're on the clunky old English system is because the British maintained
this myth of cultural superiority and we were dumb enough and provincial
enough to buy it!!!
