Hi Teri ~ We have become the area parvo puppy treatment center the past few months. We just got a 3 month old pitbull with parvo on Friday and are treating her. We use CS in the waterer and administer orally and via enema. It helped save 3 out of 4 pups a month ago and seems to be doing well with this new parvo pup, Bonnie.
We've noticed when taking temps, if they are low or high, we give larger enema doses of CS and the temp goes closer to normal very quickly. We've noticed those that consume the most CS water are the quickest to recover, tho this could also be related to consumption of fluids. We have never treated parvo pups with just CS, but it does appear the CS helps and is working.
