I built my own with a 15kv 60ma transformer, two gold electrodes, a
plastic food storage container, high voltage wire and a few other
miscellaneous parts from the hardware store.  Total cost was about
$350.  I use constant stirring (Thanks to Old Bob).  My setup isn't
pretty, but makes good CG and doesn't cost $900 bucks.  I'll be happy to
help you do it yourself if you are so inclined.
