I designed and partly (it is not placed in a descent box) constructed a CS generator. I made basically a constant current generator. this is how it works: I set the current to a level as I want it (usually 2.5ma) and then also the voltage to stop. If I connect the power to the silver electrodes the current starts very low (+-0.3ma) and raises to the previously set current. from that point on, the voltage that is initially stays at +-52 V starts to drop slowly. when the previously set voltage is reached then the generator disconnect current and the process stops. the lower the voltage setting, the higher will the ppm be. ( dia 2.5 electrode 18 mm apart 110 mm wet in clean distilled water ). I also put a little motor on top with an eccentric extended shaft to stir the solution during the presses. (I will provide the schematic of this if someone can tell me how to put it on this site.) Now I wanted to make COLLOIDAL GOLD. I connected a gold electrode to the + pole of the generator and connected the current. Pour room temperature distilled or reverse osmosis water (72ยบ F) into a 12-ounce (average size) glass. Place pure gold electrodes into the water approximately 1 inch apart and 1/3 of an inch from the bottom of the glass. If you have only one gold electrode, attach it to the positive (red) alligator clip and use a silver electrode for the negative (black). It's best to use matching pairs since some gold will stick to the other electrode. Run your generator for 1 hour. No change of color will occur. Filtration tests should reveal approximately 5 ppm.
