First, a thank you to all those who responded to my first post!

A question occurs to me with reference to comments I've read in the archives
about hammering or beating Maple Leaf coins into different shapes to be used
in making CS. Now, you must understand that I am not Mr. Science Knowitall,
so this may be a dumb question, but... Considering that hammering (forging)
steel changes its properties in such a way as to temper it... would the
hammering of a silver coin with enough frequency and force to change its
shape, change its atomic structure in any way that might be detrimental to
the process of making CS?

Thanks in advance!

Mike
