WEREWOLVES
The magical purity of silver makes the metal very dangerous to most forms of
corporeal supernatural life. The most well known vulnerability to silver is that
of the werewolf, to whom it is so severe that the mere penetration of the skin
may result in death. Silver knives, bludgeons and spears may all be used with
some degree of success, but it must be remembered that werewolves are at least
several times stronger than an adult human male. Considering this and the fact
that they also have claws, teeth, and are super humanly fast, it becomes
apparent that even with these weapons, a persons chances may be slim to none.
The well known silver bullet is the only weapon that can be fatal to such a
creature while it is still far enough away from you.
VAMPIRES
There has been some confusion over the effect of silver weapons such as silver
bullets and silver knives on vampires. Most legends agree however that while
they can be caused severe pain and debilitating injury by silver, they cannot be
killed by it. It is unlikely however, that an attack would be pressed by such a
creature once acquainted with the grievous consequences.
