No, Roger, I have not cleaned the electrodes during the process. I did add some CS at the start last night. I am making CS, though, and on the TDS meter, I have 9 ppm when I test after 20 plus hours. It's just that the red finish light never comes on. I'm going to phone the distributer today. I think the generater is defective. Thanks, I will try cleaning the electrodes. Hello Mary Lee, You wrote: >>I'm a newbie to this board with this problem: with my brand new colloid master 777, I tried to generate one quart of approx 10 ppm CS but after 23 hours the process never completed so I shut the processor off. I attempted this on the 9th and 10th of this month. Is this huge amount of time normal to make CS? Did anyone else experience this on those dates? Thank you for any response.Mary Lee>> My first batch took a long time too. Did you remove the electrodes and clean them every 2 or 3 hours? This speeds up the brewing time. My first batch took nearly 23 hours but, not since cleaning the electrodes. As some have suggested, use 3 or 4 ounces of a previous brewed batch of cs as a starter for your next batch this will increase your conductivity and also speed up processing time......good luck.
