Hi Jeff, I see no reason not to add to a gallon container from your 8 oz batches. Be sure that the gallon container is very clean - i.e. wash well, then rinse with tap water, and then with DW. A place away from bright light is a good idea. You won't change the PPM by collecting those 8oz batches in a larger container.
