Hi Andy, > Mike, design the ideal CS generator. Of course this wouldn't be a > battery and a resistor.
We are on rolling blackouts since the big crash yesterday. I don't know how much longer it will last, so I will hurry to get this posted. Please forgive the wretched syntax. Ideal is a relative term. Right now, a battery and resistor is the only way I can make cs. The "W" runs fine on a 9V and 33k. Godzilla needs a bit more current. I didn't have any way to solder, but 4 9V batteries in series a la Jason gives 36V. The short circuit current is 36/33e3 = ~1mA. This is fine. It doesn't need a MCU or pcb or flashy blinky lights. All I need to do is watch for a bit of gray fuzz on the cathode. Then I can stop it, or let it run a bit longer for higher ppm. The batteries will last a long time. The brew time will start to get longer when the batteries are almost dead. So it is self-monitoring. Right now, the simplest is the best:) Best Regards, Mike Monett -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
