'Been there, done that',  Jack.  My mind is too suspicious believing statements 
by whomever,  without revealing the source of who paid for the research to 
disprove the negative effects of aspartame/aspartic acid/phenylalanine.  
Personal anecdotal information, and personal experience have a more convincing 
effect on me.
Mercury in amalgam fillings had been deemed safe for many years too, just too 
pleased now to see more general acceptance that it is not.
Anything that doesn't harm/kill instantly but is good for good profits is 
thought to be ok.  

You enjoy your diet drinks mate, I'll stick with my water and lemon drinks.
