What should the ph of distilled water be before making CS with it? I used pH test strips and both my home-distilled water and commercial distilled water are pH 3, my finished CS both clear and yellow batches are also pH 3.
My DH says he thinks DW should be 7? (we did test the test strips with vinegar and with baking soda in water, and they appear to be pretty accurate according to an old chemistry book) TIA, paula
