Here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, they are apparently experiencing cases of mrsa among contact sports situations; I particularly heard the brief comments of a high school football coach.
the report mentioned the resistance-to anti-bios [sound familiar?] and there seems to be such concern at least in that particular hs, that they are sending all uniforms home for cleaning [how??] and they are "washing down" the equipment at school [he said, holding up a pair of shoulder pads] Apparently there are carriers of the bug that may be/& remain asymptomatic I am wondering if anyone else on the list has opinion about the use of cs and how. It seems to me that spraying the equip. with a cs-filled sprayer wouldnt hurt.
