Hmmm,
If you really want to use essential oils instead of CS, you might try
lavender essential oil, neat, with a few drops of Myrrh oil. I know
Tea Tree Oil is the most often recommended for nail fungus, athlete's
foot etc, but I personally can't stand the smell of it. I did find a
lavender/tea tree combination oil that wasn't too awful though.
Soaking in CS then putting on straight lavender essential oil is good
for a lot of infections in my experience. Though something in using
the two does stain the skin brown.
I have never found Tea Tree oil soothing or pain relieving at all.
Lavender, however, does both, and very fast. It's very good for insect
stings and bites, and miraculous for burns.
