It isn't necessarily bad for the fish themselves...it will kill your
TANK, however. The beneficial bacteria which help to keep your water
clean for the fish will die if exposed to CS, thus poisoning the fish.
It's best to treat the fish with CS OUTSIDE the tank in a small
container as a dip-method, since the CS is actually harmless to the fish
itself. Then return the treated fish to the tank. NEVER put CS in a tank
or pond.

I am giving CS to my cats and dogs and they like it.
I always thought CS only kill single cell organisms and is harmless to 
animals. How is it bad for the fishes?
