I eat chocolate in spurts but generally eat it for snacks and use it a
lot in baking. I prefer good quality like Callebaut and can buy it
locally at Whole Foods as chips or blocks.

I have never noticed it exacerbating my herpes outbreaks which I have
had on my mouth for 34 years off and on. Generally I get them when I am
stressed or sick. The last time I had them really bad on my mouth I took
750 mg of Olive Leaf Extract once every two hours for two days, then
four times a day for five days -- I had a VERY bad flu and could feel
the nerves throbbing up toward me eye, I was almost delerious but sent
hubby pronto into town to buy Solaray Olive Leaf. I have never had them
quite as bad again, but was very concerned about them getting into my
eyes. I also passed tapeworms for a week on this protocol, ewwwwww!

This was all pre-CS. Since starting CS last Fall I have had zero
outbreaks, which I get in one spot on my lip. When it tingles I apply CS
or DMSO and CS. Even DMSO alone stops the tingle.
