Hi all: I recently sent a message stating that all I used was Wal-Mart water to make my HVAC silver and Gold. I always check my new water with my Hanna TDS meter.
I just bought more water from W-M and noticed the results to be weak. I then went to Rite-Aid and bought some and checked it and started brewing and in 1/2 hour the water was up to 195 degress and was ready to boil. I stopped and went to Foodland and bought distilled Polar water. It too started to boil trying to make CG, but made a good batch of CS in 10 minutes, which usually takes 2 hours. On my panel board I have a digital watt meter. It usually starts out at about 70 watts. When it went up to 135 watts, I knew there was a problem somewhere, not knowing it was the water even though it was 0 to 2ppm. I have a distiller and am running a batch through it before I attempt to make it again..........For your information.
