CS>Sinus wash and nose drops for cold? From: sol wrote: Date: Tue, 28 Sep 2004 08:25:55 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, drat, my 2 year cold-free streak is over. I have managed to catch a cold, even though I have been drinking a lot more EIS in recent weeks (off and on as I do everything) than was my former practice. Perhaps because of the extra oral intake I got sloppy with spraying my eyes, and even forgot completely to spray a couple of times after going out to the store, etc. My husband brought this bug into the house, and at first I didn't up my eye misting much as he has had two other bad colds in the past 2 years and I didn't get them. I am really po'd to have got this. For me at least it is a lesson that oral ingestion of even a pint or more EIS per day is no substitute for misting my eyes............ Once I felt it coming, I upped my oral intake even more, sipped EIS with gatorade, without gatorade, with and without DMSO. I used EIS-MSM-DMSO nose drops a couple of times per hour, misted my eyes and throat like crazy, gargled, held EIS in my mouth, every way I could think of to take EIS. And I did put the EIS mix in my ears, too. And did a nebulizing session. Nothing helped, and I had a really miserable night. I have taken vit C in mega doses, MSM orally, and made and consumed chicken soup. I forget what all else I've tried. All I've done for three days is try to head this off. And here I am anyway. Question, using EIS-MSM-DSMO as sinus wash and nose drops, can it be overdone? Is there a backlash reaction? So far I have no secondary infection but I am coughing this morning. I wonder if I should keep up the sinus flooding and nose drops, or what? Since it did not seem to prevent the progress of the cold, and I find them very uncomfortable (ok, painful) I am inclined to not start up with them today, after having stopped about 11 pm last night, as they seemed by then to be making me worse. sol -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver.
