I too recently cought a heck of a cold for the first time in two years. I
am an avid user of ionic silver solution as a nasal wash.... I mix it with warm
water and BreathEase XL.... a saline type solution that includes Xylotol. I
hadn't irrigated my sinus for over a week and suddenly my throat felt scratchy,
mostly on my left side... it then promptly spread into my sinus and then my
lungs. I drank 1/2 cup CS daily, gargled with CS and H202, and irrigated my
sinus three times daily... all to no avail. I finally took 4 days of
tetracycline as I was afraid of this turning into pneumonia, I was coughing so
much. I had fever for two days.... never got above 100 however.... but I felt
like a Mack truck ran into me. It took me seven days to get over this bug even
with all that I mentioned along with 10 grams Vit.C and wild oregano oil daily.
Makes you wonder what sort of super bugs are forming out there.
