You can also down load Knoppix for free from www.knoppix.com and dual
boot Linux and Windows. Just put the CD in your drive, boot up Knoppix
and experience the pure joy of virus immunity as well as NO BLUE
screens, ever, not one, really. Windows will still be there should you
wish to keep it. 

Once you learn how easy and FREE Linux is you will never go back to
Windows or any other M$ product. There is no need to.

At least consider buying a Mac -- also a Unix based OS and virus
invulnerable.
