Hello, Mike: The cs would not have to evaporated. An ultracentrifuge could spin it down before putting it in the x-ray beam. Gelatin capsules or gelatin tubes are usually used as the amorphous container for such a wet sample.
My usage of the word oligodynamism adheres to its original, etymological and still-current meaning denoting the phenomenon of dilution increasing potency, especially in disinfection. It's an amazing phenomenon (but not magic ;-) Best regards, Matthew
