About a week or so ago, I tried to extract the active
component of tetrasil, Ag4o4, from the jojoba oil used
to make it into an external ointment. I used DMSO as
the extracting medium. The jojoba oil separated
immediately as an oil slick. But the brownish-black
Ag4o4 seemed not to mix well or dissolve into the
DMSO, which remained clear.

But now, after more than a week of sitting at room
temperature, it appears the Ag4o4 is dissolving into
the DMSO after all, judging from the change of color
of the solvent from clear to brown.
