Well, that probably explains it. thanks Mike.  I'm glad I have a firewall, but 
that wouldn't stop a thing like that.  Like you said, tho', it's probably 
harmless, just made me wonder.

That can happen when somebody has a virus or other malware on their 
machine and it happens to harvest your address from their hard disk. If 
you've ever posted to even one mailing list like this one or the ones 
at Yahoo!, you're address is going to be on quite a few hard disks 
around the world.

So, the message goes out from the infected machine with your address 
forged on it, and happens to get sent to a bad address. *You* end up 
seeing the bounce message, as if you'd sent it.

Annoying, but not particularly harmful... I hope!
