I for one am sick and tired of these people who have NO RESPECT for the rest
of the people on the forum. There are rules, and there are rules.
Just block these people who won't respect the rest of us and get rid of
them. Let them go and mess up someone or something else.

If it isn't obvious that such conversations do not belong here, I don't
know what is. The potential of such remarks to offend people of other
beliefs, and to try the patience of those whose time and energy is
limited, should be so plain I would expect that simple courtesy would
prevent you from posting them to the main list.
The rule is plain and fully covers this:
"Avoid discussing religion, mysticism, or spirituality. There is no
comment you can make that will not risk offending someone. Overt
evangelization is not permitted. Do not reply to religious remarks made
by others."
Hear that? "DO NOT REPLY" to the remarks others are making, in error,
on a prohibited topic in a thread that I've already asked to be closed!
Go to http://www.silverlist.org and click on List Rules and Discipline
Policy > Prohibited Topics.
A nice thread on the subject has been begun by Marshall on the Off
Topic list. For the time being, the web archives are down, so you'll
have to subscribe to receive the OT list in e-mail. Follow instructions
