Hi, Judith, CS works very well even in the absence of an immune system. Henry Crooks discovered around 1900 that colloidal silver (nontoxic to higher life forms) was the equal of corrosive sublimate (toxic to all life forms) in its ability to kill bacteria cultures in vitro, and therefore in the absence of an in vivo immune system.
