Hello Cindy, Sorry for the late reply. I had heard about these foot pads prior to yesterday. They looked intriguing but it took Dean being really sick to induce me to fork out the $ to get them. Here is a link to the website for the pads my foot reflexologist gave me... But I don't like MLM companies if I can find an alternative.... ...I know that unless I got the pads tested by an independent lab (which I won't do) I'll never know for certain what's in the black gunk that's coming out of his foot but it looks really gross and hopefully I'm not wasting my money. There are over 200 brands of this type of patch in China. It's considered very routine over there to use them, but in the US this modality is still a novelty. These patches indeed do work. After I use them, the patches are dirty and I always feel better. I have a chart someplace that says what the different colors indicate. If I find it, I'll post it to the list. There are substances other than green clay that draw junk out of the body. One of these substances is bamboo vinegar. Most brands contain bamboo vinegar. A friend of mine sells patches that also contain crushed tourmaline. When I was doing research for The Holistic Handbook of Sauna Therapy, I found out that tourmaline radiates a very healing wavelength of far infrared heat. The FIR emits optimal temperatures for people. (This is probably why some people like wearing tourmaline so much in jewelry.) At any rate, I don't think that there would be over 200 brands of these patches in the Orient if people didn't benefit from them.
