http://healthiswealthmaui.com/electronwater.html Another sooper doopper water
distiller? suuuuuure it is! This site's information was printed and snail
mailed to me by an old friend. He got it from a fellow living on a boat that
had one. That person was almost religious about trying to convince my friend
to pop for one.

I have an old Barnstead still that was surplused by the local high school. I
got it for $5. New is about $1000. Mine makes a gallon per hour. Uses 20
amps at 240 volts. Has 4 heating elements. Also uses cold water from the tap
for cooling the condenser. I just let enough into the heat exchanger to do the
job and not have too hot discharge water. Pretty basic unit. Conductivity is
pretty consistent 1.5 microsiemens. I've been using it for about ten years and
it's still bulletproof. Here's a link to a similar unit
http://www.sciencekit.com/category.asp_Q_c_E_438050 Notice it is $1725 and
make about 2 quarts an hour. WHOOOOOEEEEE, aren't they proud of it! It works
on 120 volts. Mine will too but I series-paralleled the elements for 240 volts
and not only doubled the current draw but doubled the output. It's shown on
the configuration plate as one of the ways to hook it up.

My BS meter is pegged.... How about some of the techies on the list weighing in
on this $2000 distiller. http://healthiswealthmaui.com/electronwater.html

Thanks for any input from you guys.
