The news says it will be here around 3 PM. I am located in east Tx a little north of Carthage. The rains are torrential and the wind is terrible but like I say, this is the front of the actual storm. My husband is the only person in this area for AEP (electirc company). He says he gets one area of power back on and before he can get away the winds have knocked it out again. Ours has gone on and off. Many people in our small town are out of power because they have callled and told me. Guess the real thing will take the rest of us out. My daughter who lives next door to us (we live in the country on 50 acres) stayed in Shreveport, La with my husband's sister so she would be closer to her job since she is a nurse and on call for a Shreveport hospital. They have been out of lights for hours due to an electrical fire from a tree on the lines, plus her phone went out but is back on so ...so much for looking ahead. Like I said, the storm hasn't even hit us yet. Thanks for the words of wisdom. Edith
