This is from the h2o group hydrogen peroxide ...i kept it cuase I thought it
was clever.

Brian -I used to have serious algae issues with my freshwater tank. I used the
algae treatment I bought from the fish store and it didn't work. I then
went online and researched until I came across some kind of "fish tank
hobbiests board", so-to-speak. That's where I learned about the h202 as
a cure for the algae. I used 2 ounces of 3% (diluted food grade at
first - but now I just use the store-bought type) after about a 50%
water change and stopped any other water conditioners, except the
de-chlorinators (which I could probably also stop using, since h202 is
known to remove chlorine). Anyway, now, the algae is completely gone,
and my water remains chrystal clear. I put about 1/2 ounce of h202 in
between water changes, maybe once every 2-1/2 weeks or so, and change
the water about once every 3 weeks to a month. It works great. Hope
this helps.
