I used to have a problem with these esp during the summer. My neighbor would get them also. We were told that they come in from the grains being stored before you buy them, The advice was to freeze all grains before putting them in the shelf when you get home. I do this with rice,flours, seeds etc and it has helped so much. Sometimes, I leave certain flours in the freezer all the time,provided I have room in my freezer. I think that freezing the flours kill any potential eggs that would hatch bugs. I also now put cloves of garlic in my kitchen shelves.
