Morning Dawie,

I am sure you will get many technical answers.

First, for a beginner, I think you are worrying too much and getting too technical. <grin>

Now the big disappointment!!!!
A friend of mine tested my homemade CS in a lab on different cultures of bacteria, fungus, and also candida. The result of the test was that the CS did not have any effect on any of the bacteria cultures.

I will give you my idea of what may be wrong.

  1. Poor Water Quality
  2. Silver wire problem
Where in the world did you get 18 ga and Why ?
  3. Bad Generator
       Improper current flow or regulation
  4. The Brown Cloud ? Are you possibly color blind?

I have never seen a brown cloud. It is light gray, pale smoke colored.

Regardless of how sophisticated your generator is, you could measure the current to prove it is working right. In the absence of a current meter, you could use a simple LED and a resistor of
1200 to 2400 ohms. Cost about $ .50 .............

You can make good CS with 3 ....... 9 volt batteries or a $ 5.00 power supply.
I use 52 VDC from the phone line. No batteries, no power supply. The whole smear of parts cost
5 to 6 dollars. Nothing Automatic, the brain is the controller.

I actually use the brilliance of my LED to reject
water due to poor quality, even though I have an EC meter and high quality Volt/Ohm meters.
If the LED is too bright, the water is NO GOOD !

The eye is one of the best measuring tools in the world. Never forger that.
Ask Carl Zeiss, the greatest lens grinder in history.
It does however, take a little training.

What did I do wrong ?????, Must I make less than 230 ml at a time or must I use larger electrodes. I will appreciate it if there is anybody out there to give me guidance to correct this.

I buy 14 ga wire by the 100 feet. Since I started making CS, I have purchased 200 feet.

We all hate to see a beginner have serious problems. It does appear you have the proper mind set to solve your problems.

Proper troubleshooting in a logical order should solve the problem.

How long are you electrodes? You can make a coil of the wire to gain surface area.

Better yet, get better electrodes of known quality.

Send me your address and I will send you two pieces of 14 ga, .9999 that have been proven over a number of years.

I am anxious to see all the replies you get.

Looks like you written the first chapter of a book.

    Wayne
