Dear Seunghee Shin,

We provide CloudSuite images precisely because we don't want you to go through
the pain of setting up the benchmarks on Solaris in Simics. Our Simics images
already have everything installed. The benchmarks were already running and
warmed up when we took the checkpoints that we distribute. So, unless you need
to change something in the software, you should just download the images we
prepared.

Regards,
Djordje

Subject: Installing Cloud Suite 2.0 benchmarks on Solaris image

Hello,

I installed Solaris 10 on Simics Serengeti system with ultrasparc-iii. And I
confirmed that Solaris on Simics is working fine. However, I am new with
Solaris OS and I am stuck at how to install Cloud Suite 2.0 benchmarks on the
image.

By the way, I have an experience to install them on Linux image. At the time, I
simply mount the image on my workstation (Linux based) and install them on the
image with chroot. However, since my workspace is Linux based, I can't use such
way with Solaris image.

So I am searching a way to install software on Solaris image and I am looking
forward to hearing from you. Any kinds of advice will be greatly helpful. Thank
you.

Sincerely,
Seunghee Shin
