Unfortunatelly, Sun currently provides the 7th update of Solaris 10 from 
its website, which breaks the instalation process in Simics (based on some 
post in simics forum). Search the web for an older version of Solaris10. 
Update version 3 is the one I used about 2 years ago and it was working. 
After googling "sol-10-u3-ga-sparc-v1-iso.zip" i found this link:
http://unix.miet.ru/pub/Solaris/iso/sparc/cd/10/

Try this version and let us know if you still have problems.
