Hi all,

The SimFlex Project has released a toolkit to aid the research community
in running the TPC-H benchmark on the IBM DB2 database management system.
The TPC-H benchmark was created by the Transaction Processing Performance
Council (TPC) to allow database vendors and researchers to evaluate the
performance of database systems on business-oriented ad-hoc decision
support queries. Our toolkit provides an implementation of the TPC-H
benchmark tuned for IBM DB2, along with scripts to automate the setup and
execution of the benchmark. To our knowledge, this is the first open
source implementation of a TPC benchmark for any popular commercial
database management system.

The SimFlex TPC-H Toolkit for IBM DB2 is the first in a series of
toolkits the SimFlex project is creating to promote wider use of the TPC's
benchmarks by academic researchers. We expect to release additional
toolkits with support for more benchmarks (including TPC-C) and database
management systems in the future.

The SimFlex TPC-H Toolkit for IBM DB2 is available at
http://www.ece.cmu.edu/~simflex. Additional information on the TPC
benchmarks is available at http://www.tpc.org.

Please send questions and support requests to the SimFlex mailing list,
