I have read the paper about the scaled down DBbenchmark.Because I am not familiar with the TPC-C field, so I still have some questions: (1)$client means the multiple clients which TPC-C models running concurrently.In the papaer cascon2005.pdf,it suggest setting to 10, am I right? (2)$unit means how many trasanctions or sqls a client will excute? How to set this parameter? 5? (3)$selectivity may be set from 1~100 mean 1%~100%.In the paper cascon2005.pdf, I have get two important figure 1% and 0.1% which says "It shows that the ¦ÌIDX query with 0.01% and 0.1% selectivity mimics the execution time breakdown of TPC-C".$selectivity should be set to the either one? (4)I can not find the information about $duration.
In the DBmbench Database Microbenchmarks,I find readme file in the /mbench_tpcc/ directory. It says "the scripts are for DB2 change them according to your own DBMS syntaxes"--I want to know which changes I need to d. By the way, I am an GEMS user. GEMS group only gives scripts for dss and they ask me to contact you. Thanks!
