It should preprocess, build and compile with and modern YACC or Lex implementation although it will get some warnings and even errors with some modern compilers. For instance, the when you try to compile with LLVM on the Mac, it will get a few errors some of them because the version of GNU readline that it assumes is different from the version that Mac OS installs [and while Brew updates /usr/local/Cellar to have the new one, it did not put the link in /usr/local/include/readline to the Cellar so the default one was getting sucked in).
If anyone chars I have a and updated cdecl.c that will fix the warnings LLVM.. If I feel charitable and have a few minutes, I'll try to see what icc does with it.
