Hello! What about it? On my system it looks for the tell tales that are found on the currently popular virtualization flags found on both Intel and AMD processors, and crashes when it can't find them. It wants me to find them in the BIOS. I tried to do that eight years ago this weekend, when the laptop arrived. Not there of course.
VMWare Player is available for free, and will allow you to create virtual machines without a problem. It's basically the same as Workstation without the problems of an evaluation period ending and catching you or the user out. Of course trying to get it to properly engage on the laptop when running Linux, is a trip to be certain.
