Here is an example of Runway with a slider bar. Actually, this includes items #1, #2, and #3 as described in my previous email. The student working on this (Peter) could describe how this was done (cc'ed on this email.) He can provide documentation (and the source code) to incorporate into the Runway project (testing would need to be done on scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and how it fits as a potential view within Exhibit.)
http://dev.dgs.udel.edu/sites/runway/src/webapp/index.html (base template) http://dev.dgs.udel.edu/sites/runway/src/webapp/index-dgs.html (demonstrates transparency) There are several new javascript options, listed here with the values as in the examples above: useSlider: true, sliderWidth: 0.6, sliderHeight: 5, sliderColor: 0x222266, sliderAlpha: 0.5, thumbImage: "images/runway-logo.png", (a cool option Peter came up with!) thumbScale: 0.6, Please let me and Peter what you think, if it breaks, suggestions for improvement, etc.... Our next step is to incorporate a javascript alternative if the client browser does not have the correct flash version installed. - John John Callahan wrote: > Good timing.
