@martin: This is super cool. Interesting that both your map & my
project http://openhalton.ca/vanpark are for BC municipal park info.

I assume Courtenay park data isn't open data, that is i didn't see an
open data 'catalogue' or anything of that sort... But ovviously your
source  has the link to the .js that lists the boundary coordinates &
park info. Is that an issue at all for your municipality? IT staff /
mgmt?

Another curious question -- why such a fantatstic exhibit is sort of
'burried', i.e. no direct link from: http://courtenay.ca/recreation/parks.aspx
or http://courtenay.ca/community/courtenay-parks.aspx
