I found that the MIT server was no longer doing the job and had to change
to
<script
src="http://api.simile-widgets.org/timeline/2.3.1/timeline-api.js?bundle=true";
type="text/javascript"></script>
from
<script
src="http://static.simile.mit.edu/timeline/api-2.3.0/timeline-api.js?bundle=true";
type="text/javascript"></script>
