I'm sure there are multiple options, but here's one to consider:
Create a new rule that that sets a context that is also checked by your drive
failure rule. This new rule would be triggered by some message that you can
manually generate. If the context exists, then your drive failure rule can be
told to ignore the condition until the context is cleared. (The context could
be cleared by a threshold type of rule -- or by the original rule via a
separate message.)
Just an idea.
Thanks

Subject: [Simple-evcorr-users] Is there a way to quiesce a event for
maintanence for x amount of time?
Hi,
I am trying to figure out if there's a way to quiesce an event for xxx amount
of time.
We have a failed drive that are being worked on, but in the mean time the
system is still sending snmp traps, so I would like to suppress them for the
day so it reduces the noise..
I know I can change the windows=86400 and restart SEC, but is wondering if
there's a better way.
can anyone lend a hand?
