Hi after having used Simple Scan for some time to scan a few photos I might propose a few improvements for the UI: 1. Ctrl+S overwrites the default name of a doc even if it exists without an "overwrite?" dialog. This is outright dangerous because you might loose a document. Please add an "overwrite?" dialog. 2. The resolution is hidden under the scan button. So if it happens to be "text" and you press "scan" you get a low resolution image. Better to have 2 buttons "scan foto" and "scan text" so you know what you are doing. 3. A keyboard shortcut exists for new document (ctrl+n) but no keyboard shortcut for "scan". So you cannot rely on keyboard alone for the next scan. Please add a (better 2 see N°2) shortcut for scanning. 4. Trunk (? maybe that is not the correct translation, in German it says "Zuschneiden") starts always with a standard frame size. So if you happen to have a few pages with the same layout size, you must adapt the size manually all the time. Better to remember the last frame size used.
